Favorites of German architects honored
The Architects’ Darling Awards were presented by Heinze for the 12th time. HEWI was able to win over the architects in two categories: accessibility and hardware. Find out which product solutions were particularly convincing and why in this article.
HEWI was awarded in two categories
Around 1,800 architects took part in the survey and determined the favorites of the construction industry for 2022. We received an award in not one – but two categories!
In the accessibility category, HEWI was chosen as the winner, and the golden phoenix found its way to Bad Arolsen. Our hardware solutions won the Architects’ Darling Award in silver.
Accessible sanitary solutions in all areas of life
Accessibility is not a feature of only one specific range at HEWI. Accessible product solutions are integrated into all HEWI systems, making accessibility a matter of course. With new design lines and surfaces, HEWI has shown that accessibility can also be aesthetic.
We have added three new color combinations to the accessible classics in the 477/801 range. The vitalizing shades of coral, aqua blue, and pure white make up the new Tricolor color canon for buildings in the health care division. Especially for children’s hospitals, kindergartens, and day care centers, HEWI presents the editions apple green, May green, and coral as well as aqua blue, steel blue, and apple green – gentle, calming, and harmonizing tones. For HEWI, color is elementary in order to be able to adapt a design icon that is almost perfect in design and function to current trends and thus increase the design scope in planning.
Our System 900 is the most extensive design line in the accessible sanitary equipment segment. With its surfaces in stainless steel and chrome and powder coatings in over 4,500 possible colors, this high-quality sanitary range offers countless design options for architects.
With the modular washbasin concept , we present an innovative and unique washbasin system in the accessible bathroom furnishings. Thanks to the modular system, the sinks can be expanded with useful elements as required by the individual needs of the user.
HEWI building hardware emphasizes the design
With mini, matte, and bi-color, we have designed striking and timeless variants for our design icon System 111; these offer architects and planners creative design options on the door. The lever handles from HEWI, among others, also emphasize the design: the miter cut is a distinctive design feature that gives System 162 a refined look – especially in the matte edition. The design of the 270 range lever handle by Hadi Teherani is reduced to the essentials and offers design options with the mini and bi-color fittings as well as the stainless steel and powder-coated surfaces.
