Favourites of German architects honoured
The Architects' Darling Awards were presented by Heinze for the twelfth time. HEWI was able to convince the architects in two categories at once: accessibility and hardware. In this article you will find out which product solutions convinced the judges and why.
HEWI was presented with awards in two categories
Around 1,800 architects took part in the survey and chose the favourites of the construction industry in 2022. We were able to accept an award in no less than two categories.
In the accessibility category, HEWI was chosen as the winner - so the golden phoenix in this category winged its way to Bad Arolsen. Our hardware solutions were awarded the Architects' Darling Award in silver.
Barrier-free sanitary solutions in all areas of life
Accessibility is not a feature of a special series at HEWI. Accessible product solutions are integrated into all HEWI systems so that accessibility becomes a matter of course. With new design lines and surfaces, HEWI has shown in recent years that accessibility can be aesthetic.
We have given the accessible classic Series 477/801 three new colour combinations. The new tricolour palette for healthcare buildings in the care sector comprises the vitalising shades coral, aqua blue, and pure white. HEWI presents the editions apple green, may green, and coral as well as aqua blue, steel blue, and apple green especially for children’s hospitals, nurseries and day care facilities – soft, calming, and harmonising tones. For HEWI, colour is elementary in order to adapt a design icon that is almost perfect in terms of design and function to current trends and to increase the scope for design in planning.
Our System 900 is not only the most extensive design line in the barrier-free sanitary fittings segment. With its surfaces in stainless steel, chrome and powder coatings in over 4,500 possible colours, the high-quality sanitary series offers design options for architects.
With the modular washbasin concept we were able to present an innovative and unique washbasin system in the barrier-free bathroom fittings. The washbasins can be extended by the modular system – as required by the individual needs of the user.
HEWI building hardware creates accentuation
With mini, matt and bicolor, we have designed striking and timeless variants for our design icon System 111 , which offer architects and planners creative design options on the door.
Accents are also set, among other things, by these lever handles from HEWI:
- A striking design feature is the mitre cut, which gives System 162 an elegant look, especially in the matt edition.
- The design of the lever handle from Series 270 by Hadi Teherani is reduced down to the essentials and offers design options with the mini and bicolor hardware techniques as well as the stainless steel and powder-coated surfaces.
