BestofDecade - HEWI awarded as Universal Design Company 2021
HEWI was awarded the signet "Best of Decade Universal Design Company 2021". This makes HEWI one of the best companies of the last ten years, which has had a significant influence on universal design and is now entitled to use the "Best of Decade" signet without restriction. Representative of HEWI's products was the Series 477/ 801, which even today, with new surfaces for example, inspires users with their individual requirements.
The award-winning series and HEWI already received the Universal Design Award "special mention" in 2020 for the sustained commitment to carry Universal Design across the board.
The Best of Decade Universal Design Company 2021 award recognizes Universal Design companies, design firms and universities that have significantly shaped Universal Design. The prize is offered by the Institute for Universal Design, which has set itself the task of linking business, science and society in a socially responsible context. The Universal Design Award is one of the most recognized design competitions in the world and enjoys a high reputation far beyond professional circles.
The barrier-free classic: Series 477/801
With Series 801, HEWI launched the first barrier-free series on the German market and achieved market leadership in the barrier-free sanitary fittings segment. Combined with Series 477 accessories, the most comprehensive barrier-free system solution on the market meets all bathroom equipment requirements. Users and caregivers were equally in focus during development. With the Edition matt extension, the 477/801 series offers further design options and gives sanitary rooms a homely character. Series 477/801 is available in the edition matt in various shades of white and gray.
