Alzheimera Centre, Warsaw

Poland's first Alzheimer's Centre is located in Warsaw. The centre has a multifunctional structure: it is aimed at people suffering from Alzheimer's disease. It supports relatives in dealing with the sick person and trains carers and nursing staff.

The aim is to give patients and their relatives security. The therapy centre is a kind of "protective cover" for the patients. The site is spacious and comprises four buildings connected by a park. The entire area of the Alzheimer Centre is designed to be barrier-free so that people with physical disabilities can also move freely.

The barrier-free bathrooms are equipped with HEWI products from Series 801. The uncompromising, user-friendly design of the baths also allows them to be used with a rollator or wheelchair, thus promoting the independence of the patients.
