More comfort in the barrier-free bathroom

HEWI presents a motorised tilting mirror that can be easily adjusted using a wireless wall switch – a small but fine addition to the barrier-free range.

As an expert in barrier-free sanitary solutions, HEWI has developed an extraordinary flair for solutions that make everyday life even easier and more convenient. One of these small but fine additions is the recently introduced motorised tilting mirror, which is a useful addition to the existing range of manual tilting mirrors. Equipped with an electric motor, the tilt function is controlled up to a maximum of 28° via a wireless wall switch. With their high-quality, linear and precise design, the new model variants are also compatible with all HEWI sanitary ranges and systems.

Barrier-free mirrors are a permanent fixture in the product range from the internationally orientated sanitary expert HEWI. In particular, the tilting mirrors developed by HEWI fulfil the complex requirements that people with physical disabilities have for products. The tilt function is controlled via a barrier-free and maintenance-free radio wall switch – conveniently from a standing or sitting position.

HEWI is the theme leader in universal design. Barrier-free mirrors are therefore a permanent fixture in the product range of the internationally orientated sanitary expert. In particular, the tilting mirrors developed by HEWI fulfil the complex requirements that people with physical disabilities have for products. However, it is not only users with age-related or illness-related limitations who are happy to be able to look in the mirror unhindered from the washbasin. For the little ones in the family bathroom, for example, this mirror also means a positive product experience and a gain in independence.

With the existing tilting mirrors, the inclination is adjusted by means of a manually operated cord rerouting. Tilt adjustment is now even easier and more convenient with the new HEWI motorised tilting mirror Plus, which is equipped with an electric motor. The tilt function is controlled via a battery- and maintenance-free wireless wall switch – conveniently from either a standing or sitting position.

In addition to the existing range of manual tilting mirrors, HEWI has now added a motorised version to its barrier-free range.

Planning leeway

During installation, HEWI's approach of creating interfaces between its own systems and those of other high-quality companies that match HEWI is also evident. The sanitary specialist enables the wireless push-button of the motorised tilting mirror to be installed in existing System 55 frames from Gira. Another option that offers even more scope for planning: The wireless push-button is simply placed freely on the wall using a frame supplied by HEWI – an adhesive pad is also included in delivery.

Optionally with lighting

Just as the even more convenient version with integrated LED lighting is available for the manually operated tilting mirrors, the motorised tilting mirror also offers the option of choosing between a versions with or without illumination. A separate wireless push-button is used to switch the lighting on and off and to continuously adjust the brightness and light tone – from warm white to cool white.

"HEWI is committed to developing products that are even more accessible and make everyday life more convenient for everyone in the spirit of Universal Design. The tilt adjustment via a motor offers even greater convenience and a higher degree of accessibility than the existing variants with lever or cable deflection," emphasises Florian Haude, HEWI Product Manager.

Thanks to the cross-system modular principle, HEWI allows consistent uniform and barrier-free design for the bathroom. With their high-quality, linear and precise design, the mirrors are compatible with all HEWI sanitary ranges and systems.

HEWI's motorised tilting mirrors are even more convenient and mean relief and more independence in the bathroom for everyone. In the HEWI LED tilting mirror plus version, the high-quality composite mirror also features integrated LED lighting.
